Creating Your Own Wedding Invitation Samples With Wedding Invitation Kits

Wedding Invitation Kits

Every bride wants a beautiful invitation for her wedding day.  One she can frame and remember for the rest of her life.  Being in control of this process is a great way to ensure you have exactly what you want, but making your own either with wedding invitation kits or completely from scratch is a big step especially when you can’t be quite sure of the final outcome.  Well, now it is easier than ever to create a few wedding invitation samples before you dive head first into deep waters.

Creating a few samples first will allow you to show them to your friends and/or relatives to get some opinions first before making a decision. This step allows you to be confident that the final outcome is exactly what you expected.  The last thing you need when planning a wedding are “surprises”.  The following are some tips for creating your own wedding invitation samples.

  1. Start with a good word processing program. Word is one of the better word processing applications but most of them will work and have downloadable templates for wedding invitations.  Just take a few minutes and browse through the selections and pick a few that you like.  Download the ones you like best and leave the others bookmarked in the event you aren’t happy with your first few choices. Most templates are free to download and can be found online.
  2. Choose your card stock. Good, quality stock is best when choosing paper.  If you are unsure of the type of stock or color, then just buy one ream of stock in the color or grade you are thinking of using.  Then test it and see if it is what you want.  This enables you to get a good and true picture of the look and feel of the invitation.  By testing in small quantities first, you will save yourself a lot of time and money plus the added stress that comes with the planning process.
  3. Using a digital laser printer, insert the paper stock of your choice. If you do not have a quality printer then have a local printer duplicate the invitation on various card stocks by printing a sample on plain white paper and taking it to them for duplication. Standard size is 8 1/2 by 11 but any size that suits your tastes will work.
  4. Fold your invitation and trim away any excess. If your invitation is only one sheet then this step is not needed.
  5. Embellish each sample invitation differently with your own personal touches to get an idea of how each one will look.
  6. Next, choose the one you like best and move forward with the creation process. Another set of eyes is always a good idea so get several opinions from friends and/or family members.

Creating your own sample wedding invitations using wedding invitation kits or creating them from scratch is a great way to see the finished product before it actually is complete. Alleviating the guesswork will help tremendously in reducing the stress that comes along with the unknown.

Wedding Invitation Kits: Budget Friendly Elegance

Wedding Invitations can often times end up being a very large part of a  budget for wedding planning – much more so than many bride and groom anticipated in the beginning.  But there are choices a couple can make when deciding on what type of invitations they want for their wedding. Today many couples are nixing traditional routes and going for more economically feasible options. Wedding Invitation Kits.

Wedding Invitation Kits are becoming increasingly popular due to the quality and originality a couple can express through them along with being very budget conscious. Making do it yourself wedding invitations is a little more time consuming but with good planning it can go off without a hitch and the end result is a beautifully crafted invitation that rivals any you could purchase through a professional.

Some things a couple might want to consider when looking for an invitation include necessary vs unnecessary expenses.  First – to save money you need to comparison shop – and that includes wedding invitation kits.  Most supply stores carry them along with local department stores but your best values and best options are usually on-line. Time savings are a lifesaver; especially with all of the bustle surrounding wedding planning.  There is really no better timesaver than shopping on-line. Wedding invitation kits allow you the opportunity to choose from hundreds of options until you find your perfect kit.

Before even venturing into the world of invitations be sure you have all of the wedding details in place.  For example, the date, time and place should be 100% certain and your room should already be booked.

Ordering the invitations and making them on your own is a great option but if you spend all of that time and effort into preparing the perfect invitation and the time, date or place change, you are left with a bundle of waste if a second set needs to be prepared. Be prepared so this doesn’t happen to you.

Also, keep in mind that your wedding invitation should express the overall theme of your wedding but it doesn’t have to be “extravagant”.

Sometimes little substitutions go a long way.  Instead of the hand-pressed linen paper maybe opt for a good quality bulk  stationery that does the same job without sacrificing a lot of value.  These little things can go a long way in saving money and reducing stress.

Printable, do it yourself wedding invitation kits make it easy to create your wedding invitations even if you lack the skills of calligraphy or design. It is not necessary as many have just about everything you need to create a beautiful invitation. Calligraphy is an art and if it is not your forte, hire a professional to ease the stress and burden; it’s not that expenseive and considering the amount you are already saving by purchasing a kit, it’s really a win-win. If you can operate basic word processing software and have a quality printer, you are well on your way. Planning is the key. Buying a planning guide of “how tos” is an option and often times can give you some insight and tips on doing it yourself from the invitation to the favors.

Your wedding day should not be full of stress but rather a day you will always remember. Wedding invitation kits can be a great way for couples to personalize their special day, reduce their stress and save money at the same time.Money you can use towards better, more fun-filled adventures…..like your honeymoon and the start of your brand new life together.
